Milan, 7 January (LaPresse) – ‘I wanted to show my support for these young people who have lost a friend. I wanted to be here to observe the minute's silence that will be observed in all schools across Italy. As you can imagine, it was a very emotional moment.’ These were the words of Education Minister Giuseppe Valditara as he left the Orsoline art school where Achille Barosi studied. ‘Today is a time for mourning, for showing our support to the parents and classmates of the young people who died, and also for thinking of the boys and girls who were injured and their families,’ concluded the minister, who will attend Chiara Costanzo's funeral this afternoon at the church of Santa Maria delle Grazie.
