Milan, Dec. 30 (LaPresse) – “It seems to me a sign of weakness; they thought they could move quickly, convinced they had the wind at their backs. Evidently, they realized that is not the case, that more time is needed and many more TV programs about Garlasco and the family in the woods are required. They are afraid of losing the referendum.” This is what Riccardo Ricciardi, leader of the Five Star Movement in the Chamber of Deputies, said in an interview with La Stampa in response to a question about the deadlock in setting the date for the justice reform referendum. “I don’t know if the signature collection started in recent days had an impact,” Ricciardi added. “What is certain is that there has been great mobilization, showing the citizens’ desire to participate. And this was by no means a given.”
