Mattarella at Anci: “New forms of hardship and poverty, resources must not be neglected”

Rome, Nov. 12 (LaPresse) – “A society with a demographic structure like ours cannot afford to neglect its resources. This concerns spaces that produce social exclusion, areas of decay and illegality, the abandonment of disused zones, and the desertification and renaturalization of once-inhabited and supervised territories. We are facing unprecedented forms of hardship and new kinds of poverty, as well as more demanding needs, which we cannot overlook or set aside.” So said President of the Republic Sergio Mattarella during the opening ceremony of the 42nd annual Anci Assembly, titled ‘Together for the Common Good’.
