Milan, 5 November (LaPresse) – Maria Rosaria Boccia has withdrawn her candidacy in the regional elections in Campania on 23 and 24 November. The decision was communicated in a letter sent to Stefano Bandecchi, leader of the “Dimensione Bandecchi” list, on which she had been included. ‘It is with great sadness but with equal awareness that I have decided to withdraw my candidacy for the Campania Regional Council,’ Boccia emphasises in the letter, explaining, among other things, ‘Yesterday evening, I received my second notice of investigation in just over a year. It was news that, while not entirely surprising, deeply hurt me.’
