Rome, 5 November. (LaPresse) – "The Libyan authorities have ordered the arrest of Almasri for torture and murder. The same criminal that Meloni, Nordio and Piantedosi freed and escorted home on a state flight after the Italian judiciary and law enforcement agencies had arrested him in our country on the basis of an arrest warrant issued by the International Criminal Court. Evidently, for the Libyan prosecutor's office, international law does not apply “only up to a certain point”, as it does for the Italian government. This is a shameful figure on the international stage, for which the government must apologise to the Italian people." So said PD secretary Elly Schlein.
