Rome, 5 November (LaPresse) – Members of Parliament from the M5S, Avs, Pd, Italia Viva, +Europa and Azione parties, speaking in the Chamber of Deputies on the order of business, requested urgent information from the government on the arrest of General Osama Almasri in Libya. The first to speak in the Chamber was M5S MP Federico Cafiero de Raho, who said: ‘What we failed to do, Libya did. Why did the government engage in such serious behaviour? That is why we are calling for urgent information from the government.’ ‘You have managed to make a fool of yourselves on the world stage, a “figure of Almasri”,’ added Marco Grimaldi of Avs. ‘What has happened is of unprecedented gravity,’ insisted PD MP Debora Serracchiani. MPs Davide Faraone (IV), Benedetto della Vedova (+E) and Matteo Richetti (AZ) also joined the request for information.
