Strait Bridge, Meloni: ‘We will respond to the Court, I will not resign myself to suffocating bureaucracy’

Rome, 30 October (LaPresse) – ‘I would like to say to the Court of Auditors that I was frankly a little intrigued by some of the observations, such as the one asking why we shared part of the documentation via links, because I feel like responding: “Because there is the internet”. After that, the government will respond to the observations, making it clear that the objective is to build the bridge over the Strait of Messina, which is a strategic project’. This is what Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni said in an interview with Tg1. ‘It will be a unique engineering project because, I would also like to add, we are the heirs of a civilisation that has amazed the world for millennia with its bridges, and I cannot resign myself to the idea that we can no longer do this today because we are suffocated by bureaucracy and technicalities.’
