Rome, 27 October (LaPresse) – "For a just peace, we must also work on the many other conflicts that unfortunately inflame the world, starting with the one perhaps closest to us, which is in Ukraine, where we also call for diplomatic and political efforts by the European Union, because we cannot delegate this effort to US President Trump and his phone calls. We want a European Union that returns to being a leading player in peacebuilding." These were the words of PD secretary Elly Schlein on the sidelines of a conference on peace promoted in Rome by the Community of Sant'Egidio.
