Berlusconi, Parodi (Anm): "A 30-year-long affair is not something for a civilized country"

Rome, October 26 (LaPresse) – “I am pleased to clarify my point because it is very important to me. Beyond the individual case, which I don't like to comment on, every sentence must be judged from two perspectives: the final outcome, conviction or acquittal, and the duration of the entire criminal procedure. If we look at the final outcome, we can say it’s fine and works perfectly. What didn’t work? What didn’t work was the timing of this case, because any judicial case that lasts 30 years is something a civilized system should not experience.” This was stated by the President of the ANM, Cesare Parodi, while commenting on the letter sent by Marina Berlusconi to Il Giornale regarding the judicial case involving her father, Silvio. “The final outcome was positive, but what didn’t work was the timing,” Parodi specified during Omnibus on La7, adding that “if Mrs. Berlusconi complains about the timing, I agree with her, and this applies to all citizens. Persecution? If it happened, it’s something I absolutely condemn. We are not here to carry out private justice. I don’t know if that happened in this case, so I can’t give a judgment.”
