Rome, Oct 17 (LaPresse) – The budget allocates 1.9 billion for wages and against “low-paid work.” This was stated by Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni during the press conference at the end of the Council of Ministers on the budget. With this allocation, the Prime Minister explained, it is planned to reduce taxation on productivity bonuses from 5% to 1% by raising the threshold of bonuses subject to the substitute tax, exempting components of night and holiday shift wages from taxation, and intervening on low-paid work, stimulating contract renewals for incomes up to 28,000 euros – a threshold not covered by the Irpef cut – with a 5% rate.
