Milan, 30 September (LaPresse) – ‘The generous contribution of Matteo Ricci and the candidates of the PD and the coalition was unfortunately not enough for various reasons.’ This was stated in an interview with Corriere della Sera by Pina Picierno of the PD and Vice-President of the European Parliament. ‘A government proposal that is acceptable to the country cannot be based solely on arithmetic and an abacus,’ she said. ‘The Marche is not one of the most populous regions in Italy, but it represents an important national test due to its recent history,’ she said. The upcoming regional elections ‘will be very tough, starting with Calabria. Everyone's commitment to these elections is beyond question. But everything else can be calmly discussed. We are not a party accustomed to having manipulators and, therefore, we are not accustomed to disturbing them either.’
