Rome, 26 September (LaPresse) – ‘On the Salis case, we will vote to revoke immunity because the crimes were committed before he became a Member of the European Parliament. We always uphold the rule of law, but precisely because we uphold the rule of law, we respect the rules.’ So said Deputy Prime Minister and FI leader Antonio Tajani from the stage of “Libertà”, the party's festival in Telese Terme (Benevento). "On the Salis case, I am not intimidated even by Casapound with its posters. I am used to much worse, and I am not intimidated by Casapound's instigators: I don't know who they are, but there is a mastermind,‘ added Tajani, who believes that ’perhaps everyone is worried by the polls that show us growing in popularity, perhaps we are annoying those who would like to see us relegated to some corner, but we are protagonists and we will become increasingly stronger." Finally, the minister claimed: ‘We are proud to be part of the EPP family’ and ‘we are not intimidated by threats, even from allied parties: the EPP is what guarantees stability in Europe, much more so than patriots and conservatives. We will not be intimidated or insulted by others,’ he concluded.
