Colleferro (Rome), 16 September. (LaPresse) – The President of the Republic, Sergio Mattarella, is in Colleferro to attend the public ceremony in memory of Willy Monteiro Duarte, who was killed on the night between 5 and 6 September 2020, beaten to death after defending a friend who had been attacked without reason. Last March, the Rome Court of Appeal convicted brothers Marco and Gabriele Bianchi for the murder. The Head of State visited the memorial dedicated to the victims of the TNT factory explosion on 29 January 1938, where he laid a wreath. Mattarella, together with the mayor of Colleferro, Pierluigi Sanna, then met Lucia Monteiro Duarte and Milena Monteiro Duarte, Willy's mother and sister, at Palazzo Morandi.
