Milan, Aug. 28 (LaPresse) – “I wish to express my strong condemnation of the case of online sexism that has affected numerous women—public figures, politicians, but also many ordinary people—whose photos were stolen from their social media profiles, altered, and then published on an adult website. This is a very serious matter that provokes deep outrage, and I hope that the competent authorities—who have already launched an investigation—will soon be able to identify those responsible. To the many women involved and to their families I extend my sincere closeness, both personally and on behalf of the Senate of the Republic.” This was written on Facebook by the President of the Senate, Ignazio La Russa.
