Ponte Morandi, Meloni: "The thirst for truth is still alive, ascertaining responsibility is a moral obligation"

Rome, 14 Aug. (LaPresse) – "The thirst for truth and justice is still very much alive, invoked with tenacity by the families of the victims and supported by all the Italian people. Ascertaining responsibility for what happened, identifying any faults and omissions, giving definitive answers: moral and civil obligations that cannot be disregarded'. This was declared by the Prime Minister, Giorgia Meloni, on the occasion of the seventh anniversary of the collapse of the Morandi Bridge. "On 14 August seven years ago, Genoa was badly wounded, but it did not let itself be brought down. And he showed the world the strength of a united community, capable of rebuilding and being reborn. The San Giorgio Bridge is its most powerful symbol, concrete proof of a nation and a people who, even in the most difficult moments, know how to join hands and get back up, stronger and prouder than before", concludes the prime minister.
