Rome, 9 August (LaPresse) – "I have just signed the decree to declare a state of extraordinary mobilisation of the National Civil Protection Service in support of the Campania Region. The measure, agreed with the Region, was made necessary after the vast fire that is affecting the Vesuvius National Park. With the signing of the decree, we are enabling our National Department to coordinate the intervention of the National Civil Protection Service in support of the regional authorities, with the aim of helping to combat extreme events, including with the assistance of personnel and equipment from other regions'. This was stated by the Minister for Civil Protection and Maritime Policy, Nello Musumeci.
