Rome, Aug. 7 (LaPresse) – “I read that some figures on the left – like Bonelli, Fratoianni, and company – want to report the Italian government to the International Criminal Court. The same ones who, not long ago, were calling on Brussels to launch infringement proceedings against Italy. Now they even aim for an international trial, exploiting the humanitarian tragedy in Gaza in a completely instrumental way, as if even that were our fault. Three things are now clear to everyone: first, since they can’t beat us at home, the left always seeks outside help. Second, they care absolutely nothing about Italy’s image and reputation in the world. Third, they now have only one strategy and one hope: trying to get rid of their opponents through the courts, because they gave up on the democratic route long ago. They won’t succeed.” So wrote Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni on Facebook.
