Rome, August 6 (LaPresse) – “Today’s CIPESS meeting marks a key milestone in the action of this Government. This Committee is called upon today to approve the final project of the Bridge over the Strait of Messina, to begin construction of a work as impressive as it is cutting-edge from a technical and engineering perspective.” This is what Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni reportedly said during the CIPESS meeting. “An infrastructure with many records,” the Prime Minister emphasized, “starting with the one that will make it the longest single-span suspension bridge in the world. But the project is not limited to the construction of the bridge itself. In fact, more than 40 kilometers of road and rail connections are planned to integrate the infrastructure.”
