Rome, 5 August (LaPresse) – Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni arrived at Belgrade's Nikola Tesla International Airport, where she was welcomed by the President of the Republic of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic, and the Italian Ambassador to Serbia, Luca Gori. The two leaders will then travel to the official residence “Vila Mir” for a bilateral meeting. ‘We thank Giorgia Meloni for her important visit and for the respect she shows towards our country and our people. Serbia remembers its friends and never forgets those who have stood by us in crucial moments,’ Vucic wrote on Facebook, posting several photos of the Prime Minister's arrival at the airport. ‘This visit is a message of trust and shared vision for the future of a united Europe, and I thank Prime Minister Meloni for coming to Belgrade and thus sending once again a strong message of support to Serbia. Welcome to Serbia, may friendship, cooperation and joint work for the stability and prosperity of our peoples continue to unite us,’ the Serbian president concluded.
