Rome, Aug. 5 (LaPresse) – The Italian Parliament, in a joint session, has elected lawyer and constitutional law professor Daniele Porena as the new lay member of the CSM (Superior Council of the Judiciary). The vote, held on the third ballot (which required a three-fifths majority of those voting), recorded 333 votes in favor out of 477 votes cast, with 123 blank ballots and 21 invalid ones.
