Almasri Case, Meloni: "Ministers’ Court Dismissed My Role, Authorization Likely for Piantedosi and Nordio"

Rome, Aug 4 (LaPresse) – "Today I received notification from the Ministers’ Court regarding the Almasri case: over six months after it began, compared to the three months stipulated by law, and following unjustifiable leaks. The judges have dismissed the case solely against me," wrote Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni on X.

From the decree, she added, "I infer that authorization to proceed will be requested against Ministers Piantedosi and Nordio and Undersecretary Mantovano. The decree claims that I 'was not informed in advance and did not share the decision made,' and therefore did not strengthen 'the criminal plan.' It is thus argued that two senior ministers and the undersecretary I entrusted with intelligence acted on such a serious matter without sharing their decisions with me. That is a blatantly absurd thesis," she concluded.
