Naples, July 18 (LaPresse) – "The concert organized by Scabec for 'A Summer Fit for a King' in Caserta, featuring a major Russian conductor, Gergiev, is frankly a disturbing issue. I've seen intolerable political exploitation."
This was stated by the President of the Campania Region, Vincenzo De Luca, during a Facebook livestream.
"Campania has taken initiatives for peace on its own for three years, not just now. For three years," De Luca recalled, "we have maintained the same stance: Putin is guilty because he invaded an independent country, but the West is not innocent either—it did nothing to prevent this tragedy and still has no clear political line or objective."
