Rome, July 18 (LaPresse) – The Italian government is appealing to the Council of State over the “Suitable Areas” decree, challenging the Lazio Regional Administrative Court’s (TAR) ruling that called for a substantial rewrite of key sections. This was confirmed to LaPresse by lawyer Massimo Ragazzo of the GSLex firm, representing ANEV (National Wind Energy Association) and the companies involved in the case. Three ministries are part of the appeal: Environment and Energy Security (Gilberto Pichetto Fratin), Agriculture (Francesco Lollobrigida), and Culture (Alessandro Giuli). ANEV and the companies will join the case before the Council of State. A new ruling is expected on August 26.
