Urban planning inquiry, Lega: ‘Milan City Council disastrous, give citizens back their voice’

Milan, July 17 (LaPresse) – "The League is not calling for the resignation of the mayor and city council of Milan over the recent (albeit serious) legal matters that have come to light: unlike the left, we remain committed to the principle of due process. No one should be declared guilty based on news articles or ongoing investigations, but only after a final conviction. We are calling for the resignation of the mayor and the council because Milan has long been at a standstill on all fronts: it is increasingly difficult to work, invest, produce, plan, or even walk safely in the streets. Beyond any legal issues, which others will examine, the failure is entirely political and administrative. Milan deserves better. Let’s return power and sovereignty to the citizens. The League is ready to take responsibility to restore trust, stability, development, and good governance to the city," the League stated in a press release.
