Rome, July 10 (LaPresse) – "We are nearing the finish line of a historic justice reform. They’re trying everything to slow it down or intimidate us, even going so far as to make up blatant lies. What I said in Parliament is the truth, and the records prove it—nothing more." These were the words of Justice Minister Carlo Nordio as he entered the Senate for question time.

Will he return to Parliament? "If necessary, after consulting with fellow government members, I have no issue doing so. But I don’t see what more I could add to what I’ve already said, since what I said is the whole truth and absolutely comprehensive," he reiterated.

As for speculation about his resignation or that of a staff member, he replied with a smile: "Do you know what General McAuliffe said during the siege of Bastogne? Nuts!"
