Milan, 27 June (LaPresse) – "Forty-five years have passed since the Itavia DC-9 plane crash, and yet the wound inflicted on our country remains open in the civil conscience and in the history of the Republic. It is our duty to ensure that the memory of this massacre does not fade and that the truth is no longer hindered by silence, reticence and complicity. My personal condolences and those of the Senate of the Republic go out to the families of the 81 victims." This was posted on Facebook by the President of the Senate, Ignazio La Russa.
