Rome, June 24 (LaPresse) – “The Brothers of Italy’s vote against the third term in the Committee? There were two abstentions from FdI, and I must say I appreciated their willingness to address the issue and look for possible solutions.

What I didn’t appreciate was the wall raised by Forza Italia. It’s not a matter of government policy, but I did not appreciate that gesture.”

This was stated by Regional Affairs Minister Roberto Calderoli (Lega) following the rejection of the amendment on a third term for regional governors, presented by Matteo Salvini’s party, as part of the bill on adjusting the number of regional councilors and assessors currently under review by the Senate’s Constitutional Affairs Committee.
