Milan, 21 June (LaPresse) – "The names of Falcone and Borsellino are engraved alongside those of Francesca Morvillo and the women and men of their security detail, who 33 years ago were deprived of their lives by mafia assassins while valiantly serving our community. Memory is a commitment and a responsibility. Defeating the mafia is possible, as Falcone, Borsellino and many other magistrates, police officers and citizens, victims of organised crime, have taught us." These were the words of the President of the Republic, Sergio Mattarella, in a message sent to the president of the Agrigento 2025 Participation Foundation, Maria Teresa Cucinotta. “Strengthening legality is something that belongs to all those who want to live their lives in harmony and freedom and thus pave the way for younger generations to become, in turn, builders of the future of our community,” he added.
