Rome, June 20. (LaPresse) – Today's summit represents a fundamental step in the internationalization of the Mattei Plan. Since the launch of this strategy, we have been aware that in order to achieve the ambitious goals we have set ourselves, it is necessary to work in synergy with our international partners, starting with the European Commission, and I would therefore like to thank President von der Leyen, who is co-chairing this summit with me. These were the words of Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni as she opened the working session of the summit ‘The Mattei Plan for Africa and the Global Gateway: A common effort with the African Continent’ currently underway at Villa Doria Pamphilj in Rome.
