Naples, June 20 (LaPresse) – “The General States of Prevention were an opportunity for Campania to highlight some of the achievements we’ve made in the field of healthcare,” said Vincenzo De Luca, President of the Campania Region, during a Facebook livestream.
“I reminded President Mattarella — who stayed for an hour and then left — that for ten years the Constitution, which guarantees the right to health for all Italian citizens, was violated,” De Luca stated.
“In the allocation of the National Health Fund,” he added, “Campania was deprived of €280 million a year for ten years, and even today we are still shorted €200 million annually compared to the national average. Despite this, we are currently building more new hospitals in Campania than in the rest of Italy combined.”
