Rome, June 20 (LaPresse) – The Council of Ministers has approved a measure that adds a further €180 million, in addition to the funds already allocated in the Budget Law, bringing the total funding to €480 million in support of working mothers with two or more dependent children. This was explained by Labour Minister Marina Calderone during a press conference at Palazzo Chigi following the cabinet meeting.
“The measure provides for an amount of €40 per month for 12 months, applicable to 2025, to be paid in a single installment in December. The sum is entirely exempt from social security and tax contributions, effectively resulting in a net increase in the paycheck for December,” the minister said.
“For working mothers with three or more children who have a permanent employment contract, the incentives already provided for by the 2025 budget will continue to apply in 2026. For mothers with three or more children who do not have a permanent contract or are self-employed, the measure provides the same €40 monthly payment for 12 months, to be disbursed in December.”
