Rome, 10 June (LaPresse) – The creation of a national ethics committee, whose members will be appointed through a Dpcm, which will have a say on the involvement of the National Health Service (SSN) in end-of-life cases and on the need to guarantee palliative care throughout the country. According to parliamentary sources, this is one of the proposals that emerged during the majority summit held today at Palazzo Chigi, attended by Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, Deputy Prime Ministers Antonio Tajani and Matteo Salvini, leader of Noi Moderati Maurizio Lupi, and Ministers of Justice and Family Carlo Nordio and Eugenia Roccella, among others. It will now be up to the majority in Parliament, it is reported, to translate the working hypotheses into a basic text to be examined by the Justice and Social Affairs Committees of Palazzo Madama. The select committee will meet next Tuesday, while the measure is expected to be debated in the Senate on 17 July.
