Rome, June 2 (LaPresse) – On the occasion of the 79th anniversary of the Republic, President of the Republic Sergio Mattarella paid tribute at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier at the Altare della Patria. The Head of State, accompanied by Defense Minister Guido Crosetto, reviewed the honor guard lined up with flag and band. Mattarella then laid a laurel wreath at the Shrine of the Unknown Soldier. At the end of the ceremony, the Frecce Tricolori flew over Piazza Venezia, where Senate President Ignazio La Russa, Chamber President Lorenzo Fontana, Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, and President of the Constitutional Court Giovanni Amoroso were also present alongside Mattarella.
