Turin, 27 May (LaPresse) – ‘Tell the story of my wife's election campaign in an upcoming film? I'm thinking about it. The election campaign is a backstage story that has not yet been told in an Italian film. I'll think about it.’ This is what director and producer Fausto Brizzi, husband of Silvia Salis, athlete, sports manager and now mayor of Genoa, told LaPresse. ‘She has applied what is applied in sport: fair play in language, which is what sport teaches, where if you foul, you're off the field, you don't keep playing. Politics has been like the Wild West in recent years,’ continued the director, speaking of Salis, a former Italian hammer thrower and later vice-president of CONI. ‘My wife's strong point is her tirelessness and the fact that she learns everything at lightning speed,’ he continues. ‘She could have done any sport in life, or any activity, and after a moment she knows how to do it better than you.’ He adds: ‘When I met her, I talked to her for three minutes, then I went to the friends who had introduced her to me and said, “I'm going to marry her.”’
