Trento, 24 May (LaPresse) – "For me, it's a theft of democracy. I fight the battles, but if only the League votes in favour in Parliament and everyone else votes against, from the Democratic Party to the Five Star Movement, from Brothers of Italy to Forza Italia, I take note of it, but they are making a mistake because they are taking away the citizens' right to choose. These are local choices, there is no friction within the government. I am against taking away pieces of autonomy, especially if it is well managed." This was stated by Matteo Salvini, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Infrastructure and Transport, speaking at the Trento Economy Festival, in relation to the government's decision to challenge the Trentino law on the third term for the president of the provincial administration.
