Rome, May 17 (LaPresse) – “Five months after the new Highway Code came into force, the data shows fewer accidents, fewer injuries, and fewer fatalities. Compared to the same period last year, there are 47 fewer road deaths in Italy, over 1,300 fewer accidents, and a general decrease across the board, from fatal crashes to those with injuries. These are concrete results: an important and encouraging sign. We will continue with determination, with the goal of ensuring greater safety for everyone. And thanks, as always, to the law enforcement agencies for their extraordinary and constant commitment,” wrote Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Infrastructure and Transport Matteo Salvini on social media.
