Rome, 14 May (LaPresse) – ‘We have not agreed with several decisions, we do not agree with the recent proposals of the Israeli government and we have not failed to say so to our interlocutors, aware as we are that it was not Israel that started the hostilities and that there was a plan, as I have said several times, behind the inhuman attacks by Hamas and the cruelty directed against the hostages. That was a plan aimed at isolation, and this cannot but make us reflect on how dangerous it would be to go along with the plan of terrorists who have no qualms about sacrificing the lives of both Israelis and Palestinians in order to pursue their own goals.’ These were the words of Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni during question time in the Chamber of Deputies, responding to a question posed by Angelo Bonelli (Avs) on the government's position towards Prime Minister Netanyahu in relation to the situation in Gaza and the West Bank and the latest developments.
