Rome, 14 May (LaPresse) – ‘It is now clear to everyone that, in a phase of international market instability, it is even more essential to remove internal tariffs that undermine European competitiveness and that the time has come to reverse course in a decisive manner. It is certainly clear to us why this is what businesses and our workers are asking for and why it is what European citizens reiterated with their vote almost a year ago.’ This was stated by Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni during question time in the Chamber of Deputies, responding to a question posed by FI leader Paolo Barelli on initiatives to reform the Green Deal in order to combine environmental protection with economic and productive competitiveness.
