Justice, ANM: “We reiterated to Forza Italia, Lega, and Noi Moderati the reasons for our opposition to the reform”

Rome, May 7 (LaPresse) – "We met with the three parliamentary groups of Forza Italia, Lega, and Noi Moderati, and the tone of dialogue was positive with all of them. Of course, everyone maintains their own legitimate opinion on the reform: we once again expressed not only the reasons for our opposition but also that it is not a politically or ideologically prejudiced stance," said ANM president Cesare Parodi, speaking to journalists after the meeting with party delegations.

"The meeting was important because all of them, in different ways, expressed their interest in bills concerning other issues, such as femicide and the new rules regarding the seizure of mobile phones," he added. "We believe we can offer evaluative input to help ensure these laws function better, because as legal professionals, we can foresee potential problems."

Regarding the reform, "we have acknowledged the possibility of contributing to the implementation laws. Of course, the final decision will rest with the CDC," he concluded. "We acknowledge the possible offer and will assess it very carefully."
