May 1st, Conte: "Four yes votes in the referendum to defend rights and work"

Rome, May 1st (LaPresse) – "Workers without protection, precariousness, a surge in unemployment benefits, 9% of workers in poverty, four out of ten young people earning less than nine euros per hour, and then a statistic that makes your blood run cold: three workers a day who leave home in the morning and don't come back in the evening because they die. This is not the Republic founded on work that our Constitution tells us about. On May 1st, we say enough, this is a government that continues to deceive workers. It’s a government that only knows how to say no to our proposals." This was declared by M5S President Giuseppe Conte in a video on his social media. "The battle we fight in the institutions," he added, "is not enough, we need a movement from the grassroots. The referendums on June 8th-9th are the first opportunity to start reclaiming the rights and protections taken away from workers by wrong choices and laws, starting with the Jobs Act." The leader then reiterated the four yes votes for the labor referendums.
