Rome, April 14 (LaPresse) – "Regarding the video call made to his grandmother by the killer of young Neapolitan musician Giogiò Cutolo, which quickly went viral on social media, Minister Nordio has requested administrative checks to verify whether the images and footage shared online were recorded from the Catanzaro prison during the remote conversation with the inmate's family members," announced the Ministry of Justice.
The Ministry explained that "video calls and conversations via the WhatsApp application between the inmate and his family were indeed regularly authorized; therefore, the prison's management promptly reported the matter to the local Prosecutor's Office and to the Supervisory Judge, for their respective competences, concerning both the unlawful dissemination of the video and the fraudulent methods used to capture the conversation, which in any case should not have been recorded by the participants."
