Rome, April 10 (LaPresse) – "We have acknowledged the concerns of the National Magistrates Association (ANM) regarding the government's judiciary reform project and other positions taken by the Meloni administration. The M5S stance on this reform, which overturns the judicial system, is very clear—as it is on all issues related to justice. The ones who will suffer the most are the citizens, who will face a weaker justice system that protects their rights less effectively.

We are deeply concerned. Many actions and statements from government officials reveal a total lack of legal culture, which results in wrong and extremely dangerous laws, particularly for citizens' rights. From the rave party decree to the repressive security decree introducing 14 new crimes, and the punitive judicial reform, the government's plan is clear: to bring prosecutors under government control and to corner ordinary citizens, all while dismantling safeguards against the abuses and privileges of the powerful," said M5S President Giuseppe Conte after a meeting with the ANM board.
