Rome, 29 March (LaPresse) – ‘Faced with the shocking images coming from the countries of south-east Asia devastated by the earthquake, feelings of deep sorrow for the many victims and solidarity for those who are fighting for their lives in these hours prevail. The Italian Republic hopes that the flow of emergency aid can be facilitated by every possible means to support the rescue teams and the needs of the people affected by the earthquake'. This was stated in a note by the President of the Republic, Sergio Mattarella.
