Rome, 25 Mar. (LaPresse) – ‘Twenty-two, fifty-one and thirty-eight, in Molino di Campagna, Sant'Antonio Abate and on the motorway near Orvieto. Three deaths at work in a few hours. And they are only the last three. It is no longer possible to speak of accidents in the face of this endless slaughter. And it is unacceptable to die at work in this way: we have long offered our willingness to the government to act effectively, but so far we have had no response. We need to act on several fronts: increasing safety at work, hiring more inspectors to make controls more effective, more responsibility for employers and more training for workers. And we must fight precariousness and subcontracting cascades that make work less safe. This must be a priority for everyone, politicians and institutions'. Thus in a note the secretary of the Democratic Party, Elly Schlein.
