Rome, 7 Mar. (LaPresse) – ‘I am adding to this important measure, for which I thank all my colleagues, a specific initiative of the Ministry of University and Research, also in response to an appeal from the rectors, with an immediate allocation of 8 and a half million euros dedicated to combating gender-based violence through counselling centres, while respecting the autonomy of universities. The funds will be available immediately.’ This was announced by the Minister for Universities and Research, Annamaria Bernini, at a press conference at the Palazzo Chigi after the Council of Ministers gave the green light to the Femminicidio (Femicide) bill.
