Milan, 18 Feb. (LaPresse) – “For the past three years, Italy's position has been clear, crystal clear, very clear, that of calling for the re-establishment of respect for international law, for respect for the sovereignty of every state”, be it small or large. ‘This firm and vigorous affirmation was the basis of the support that Italy, together with the EU and the USA, assured Ukraine. This position was always accompanied by the hope that Russia would return to assuming its role in respecting the principles of state sovereignty. This is a hope’ for the “respect of international law and the United Nations Charter”. This was stated by the President of the Italian Republic, Sergio Mattarella, during a press conference in Cetinje, Montenegro, with the President of the Republic of Montenegro, Jakov Milatovic.
