Vandalizing such a symbolic site of the Foibe tragedy, and doing so on the eve of Remembrance Day, is not only a shameful provocation but an act of unprecedented gravity that cannot and must not go unpunished. My strong and sincere solidarity goes out to the families of the victims and to those who, day after day, continue to defend the historical truth of this immense tragedy against hatred, ignorance, and denialism."
