Giorgia Meloni cannot keep running away from her responsibilities; she must come to Parliament and explain why, during the briefing the other day with two ministers, they failed to provide answers to simple questions."
These were the words of Democratic Party Secretary Elly Schlein, speaking from the stage of the +Europa congress currently underway in Rome.
"I fear that the truth" about the release and subsequent repatriation of Almasri "is quite simple: they were afraid that their dirty work in Libya would stop, they were afraid of the blatant failure of that inhumane model of detention centers in Albania, a model that violates international law and human rights, wasting both economic and human resources."
