Milan, Jan. 16 (LaPresse) – Would the League run independently if Brothers of Italy claimed the presidency of Veneto? "No, in these two years and a few months of government, the League has been absolutely loyal in every vote in favor of the government. The stability of the Italian government is a valuable asset that Europe envies and is rewarding us for economically. There is absolutely no question of a government that will complete its full five-year term." This was stated by Deputy Prime Minister and League leader Matteo Salvini on the program Cinque Minuti airing tonight on Rai1. "Of course, political votes are one thing, and good local governance is another. If the good governance of the League and Zaia in Veneto, which has been internationally recognized for years in every aspect, were questioned due to political balance and decisions made in Rome, it wouldn’t seem beneficial to me. I am confident that we will find a solution with our allies, as we always have, and I am sure that no one wants to jeopardize one of the most virtuous governments in Europe just to plant a flag somewhere," he added.
