Mario Sechi: ‘I was sacked by Angelucci at a time when I was under police protection’

Rome, 28 May (LaPresse) – ‘Angelucci sacked me. He did so the moment I was placed under police protection, having received death threats from anarcho-insurrectionist terrorists.’ So wrote journalist Mario Sechi in a post on X, announcing his removal from the post of editor-in-chief of the daily newspaper *Libero*. Sechi was placed under police protection after receiving threats from anarcho-insurrectionists. The journalist is said to have been the victim of intimidation due to a number of editorials he wrote regarding the deaths last March, in Rome’s Acquedotti Park, of two anarchists, Alessandro Mercogliano and Sara Ardizzone, who belonged to Alfredo Cospito’s group.
